Basics

Alcohol unit calculator

Convert one drink into standard units, UK units, US standard drinks, grams, and calories.

Is my drinking history stored in the cloud?

No. All your data is stored locally on your device, and we do not store it in the cloud. You can export a backup and save it wherever you want. Your privacy is important to us. For more details, see our privacy section.

How accurate are the limits?

The limits are based on public health guidelines, simplified for clarity. They're general recommendations, not personal prescriptions. Everyone's body and situation are different. For a detailed explanation, see our methodology page.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. You can export your data as a CSV for your own analysis. You can also export a backup file to import on another device if you change phones. To delete data, use the Delete Data option in the app or uninstall the app to clear all local data.

Is Mindrink recommending that I stop drinking?

No. Mindrink is designed for awareness and balance, not abstinence. We believe being fully dry isn't always the answer—awareness, tracking, and small habits can make all the difference. Transparency brings control, and control brings freedom. Learn more about reflecting on your habits.

Does Mindrink work for all types of drinks?

Yes. Mindrink calculates units based on volume and ABV (alcohol by volume), so it works for beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and any other alcoholic drink. You just need to enter the volume and alcohol percentage. See how alcohol units work for examples.
